Jasmine's 1st week at the child minders was cut short today as snow got the better of us. But we put the time to good use by donning our snow gear making a snowman and going for a nice country jaunt :D It seems ages since we've had snow that's good enough to play with, and we have more forecast for tonight giving us an excuse to add more snowmen to the garden!
It's always nice to get out and about with the family and we've started naming the walks around the local countryside. Today's jaunt featured the 'Bog Walk' and we narrowly missed losing our wellies!!
I think Hazel enjoyed running around in the snow like a crazy thing, even if she didn't quite get the concept of catching a snowball in her mouth.
As always, Jasmine's skin soon improved by being outside. It has been a little flarey for the last few mornings. We suspect teething as this could also account for her temptestuous nights at the moment. We've taken to add rusks into her last feed to see if that will stodge her up enough to go more than a few hours into the night. ...We only added 1 in last night and there was no great change, so tonight's bottle had 2. ...here's hoping!!!
I stopped in here because you left a few comments on my blog and I wanted to "meet" you. Jasmine is so precious! I haven't read your whole blog so forgive me if this has already been answered...have you had her tested for food allergies. Her skin is exactly like my Emily's was when she was that age. Now that we have eliminated all of her allergens she looks so good that I sometimes forget how horrible it used to be. As for an egg, dairy, soy free cake...I have been on that search for 6 years! Duncan Hines (do you have that brand there?) has cake mixes that are dairy free and can be made with egg replacer, but I am not sure if they contain soy. Best of luck to you. I am looking forward to reading more of your blog later.
ReplyDeleteHiya and thanks for stopping by! :D
ReplyDeleteWe've not had Jasmine officially test for any allergies yet. The closest we've managed is through a method called muscle testing. So far Jasmine seems to have issues with dairy (cows and goats), soy, lentils, silver birch pollen and a particular type of mould! :D They suggested that she had no real issue with egg, but we're following a trial set by a dietician at the moment. As for cakes, well we've found a couple of contenders though we've also got the fun issue of trying to avoid as much sugar as possible in light of the whole Candida thing ....a barrel of laughs ;)
